Clallam County Superior court

Lovera Marjorie Blackcrow – Blackcrow, 29, Port Angeles, had her conditions of release modified Oct. 29, allowing her to drive with an ignition interlock device on her car. A Nov. 5 status hearing was set prior to her Nov. 16 trial on one count of vehicular homicide – DUI.

According to court records, Blackcrow allegedly was driving a Ford Expedition under the influence of alcohol on

Aug. 16 when she collided with a Harley-Davidson motorcycle at Dry Creek Road and Edgewood Drive in Port Angeles, resulting in the death of the motorcyle passenger Shelly Bartlett.

Kerry Devin Gamble – Gamble, 50, Sequim, was sentenced Oct. 28 on one count of third-degree assault criminal negligence and substantial pain. He will perform 240 hours of community service, pay $2,050 in fines and court costs, have no contact with the victim or his wife or come within 1,000 feet of their home, work or school for five years.

According to court records, Gamble allegedly hit a neighbor in the head with a mostly full 2-liter wine bottle.

Patricia Loehr McCauley – McCauley, 56, Sequim, faces a Jan. 11, 2010, trial on one count of making false or misleading statements to a public servant.

According to court records, McCauley allegedly told a police officer that a pedestrian who had been hit by her husband’s vehicle at a Port Angeles intersection on the afternoon of Sunday, Oct. 18, had jumped onto the car’s hood. The charge is a gross misdemeanor, punishable by up to one year in jail or a $5,000 fine or both.

James McCauley, her husband, also is set to stand trial Jan. 11 on charges of second-degree assault with a deadly weapon and hit-and-run/bodily injury. Each of the charges carries a maximum penalty of 10 years in prison and a $20,000 fine or both.

Loretta Edberg – Edberg, 36, Upland, Calif., will be arraigned Nov. 13 on amended charges. Edberg had a bench warrant issued for arrest after she failed to appear for an Oct. 22 hearing. Edberg was arrested May 1 in Montclair, Calif., on investigation of custodial interference.

Christopher D. Hanning, 10, and Joshua N. Hanning, 13, were found with their mother in Montclair and reunited with their father, Brian Hanning, on May 2. Edberg’s suspected accomplice, Anthony Charles Buchanan, had his Nov. 6 status hearing rescheduled to Nov. 13 pending a possible plea bargain.
