School board sets agenda for Sept. 8 meeting

The Sequim School board of directors meet at 6 p.m. Monday, Sept. 8, at the district boardroom, 533 N. Sequim Ave.; the new time is one hour earlier than normal.

Agenda items include:

• A $6,000 cash donation from Betty Carlson to be used for the Class of 2015 Senior Ball and Graduation

• Out-of-state and overnight travel request for the Sequim High School cross country team to participate in an invitational meet in Seaside, Ore. (Sept. 19-21)

• Memorandum of Understanding between Olympic Educational Service District 114 and Sequim School District for Certification Services for the 2014-2015 school year

• Offer classified assistant cheer coach position to Kim King for the 2014-15 school year, effective Sept. 3

• A preliminary enrollment count from district business manager Brian Lewis
