Family, parent café kicks off

Beginning in the fall, Debby Smith leads a family and parent community café. Those interested in learning more, call 681-2250 or stop in at the First Teacher room, Room 4W at the Sequim Community School, 220 W. Alder St., at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Aug. 22.

Sequim Pre-3 enrolling for fall

Sequim Pre-Three Cooperative is starting enrollment for the fall quarter. SP3 is for parents and their children ages 10 months to 3½ years. Two class times are available: Tuesdays 9:30-11:30 a.m. or Fridays 9:30-11:30 a.m. Children must be between 9 months and 3½ years by Sept. 1 to attend. Classes are taught by teachers with expertise in early childhood education and guest parent educators from the community. Parents serve as assistant teachers in the classroom on a rotating basis.
