Greywolf PTA hosts ‘Girls Night Out’
Greywolf Elementary School’s Parent-Teacher Association is hosting a "Girls Night Out" fundraiser from 6-9 p.m. on Friday, April 23, at the school gymnasium, 171 Carlsborg Road.
The free event features about 20 representatives from direct-sales companies such as Avon, Pampered Chef, Tastefully Simple, Tupperware, Sensaria, Scentsy and Creative Memories, set up at tables in the gym. The company reps will be taking orders, be doing a "purchase and carry" of their products and donating a percentage of their sales to the Greywolf PTA.

Silent auction to benefit Christian school
Olympic Christian School holds its 19th-annual silent auction, set for 11 a.m.-1 p.m. on Saturday, April 24, at Independent Bible Church, 116 E. Ahlvers Road in Port Angeles.
Admission to the auction is free. The event features hundreds of items for sale.

First Fed program teaches youths to save
First Federal employees are heading into classrooms throughout the North Olympic Peninsula to give savings lessons to students.
The program is a part of the American Bankers Association Education Foundation’s Teach Children to Save program.
Classroom visits begin the week of April 26. The visits include games and activities about the concept of saving, how interest makes money grow, how to budget and how to determine wants and needs.
First Federal offers the following tips to help parents make every day "Savings Day:"
• Help youths open their own bank savings account and make deposits regularly.
• Make going to the bank fun.
• Talk to children about creating a personal budget.
• Give children positive feedback.
First Federal operates branches in Port Angeles, Forks, Sequim and Port Townsend.
OCS names honor roll students
Olympic Christian School recently released its third-quarter honor roll for grades 4-6.
Students named to the list have grade-point averages of 3.50-3.99. One OCS student, Anthony Creasey, was named to the school’s president’s list for earning a 4.00 grade-point average.
Fourth grade – Sadie Decker, Amanda Dodson, Zach Parrill, Lily Robertson, Jane Rudzinski, Zoe Washburn and Carson Wilder
Fifth grade – Mikaela Dodson, Jasmine Gauthun, Megan Lovely and Sarah Tiemersma
