Sequim Beautiful Day brightens Boys Girls Club

A group of dedicated volunteers led by Randy Skoglund helped clean up the landscaping last month at the Sequim Boys & Girls Club as part of the Sequim Beautiful Day group.

On May 4 and 5, they filled 23 wheelbarrows full with weeds and grass.

Rev. Rick Dietzman of Sequim Community Church said the volunteer group had several projects planned for an April service day but they were delayed because of COVID-19 concerns.

They hope to complete other projects later as conditions improve, he said.

Beautiful Day Sequim follows an effort started by volunteers from California in 2004. Here it started in 2017 with local Christian churches partnering with community organizations, schools, businesses and individuals on needed projects.
