A 21-year-old Sequim man was charged with third-degree rape of a child in Clallam County Superior Court and pleaded not guilty March 8.
Kevin Lee Henrichsen is accused of having sex with a 15-year-old Port Angeles girl in November 2010. The girl told police Henrichsen raped her in a car near Lincoln Park, according to police reports.
She reported the incident to police less than an hour after it occurred and was taken to the hospital for a rape examination, police said. The results are pending.
The girl told police Henrichsen said he was 16 years old but she later found out he was much older.
Henrichsen was arrested March 3 on suspicion of child rape and remains in custody at the Clallam County jail in lieu of $25,000 bond.
