The Clallam County Sheriff’s Office is seeking a person or persons responsible for shooting at glass panels at bus stop shelters adjacent to the east- and westbound traffic lanes adjacent to the intersection of U.S. Highway 101 and Kolonels Way in Port Angeles.

Law enforcement officials believe those responsible used a high-powered BB or pellet gun shot out an 84-inch by 48-inch safety glass panel on the bus stop shelters between 7 p.m., Jan. 5, and 9 a.m., Jan. 6.

The estimated value of each panel is $300.

During the same time frame, unknown suspects shot out the 84-inch by 48-inch glass panel on the bus stop shelter located adjacent to the west bound lane of U.S. Highway 101, near the intersection with Larch Avenue in Port Angeles, and the 48-inch by 48-inch glass panel on the bus stop shelter located adjacent to the westbound lane of U.S. Highway 101 near the intersection of Pioneer Road.

The estimated value of the smaller panel is $150.

Law enforcement officials say these acts of vandalism are very costly to the community.
