Sherriff’s Office to host BBQ

On Friday, May 13, the Clallam County Sheriff’s Office is hosting its 6th Annual Law Enforcement BBQ for all Olympic Peninsula law enforcement personnel and volunteers.

On Friday, May 13, the Clallam County Sheriff’s Office is hosting its 6th Annual Law Enforcement BBQ for all Olympic Peninsula law enforcement personnel and volunteers.

The barbecue begins at noon on the east lawn next to the jail.

The public is invited.

Following the barbecue, there will be a bell ringing ceremony in Liberty Park (next to the courthouse) at 1:30 p.m., commemorating Deputy Wally Davis and National Forest Service Officer Kristine Fairbanks who both were killed in the line of duty.

The Patriot Guard Riders will present the flags, the Marine Corps League will give the 21-gun salute and play taps and Dr. Thomas McCurdy will play the bagpipes during the ceremony.
