A rollover wreck on Palo Alto Road on July 11 led deputies to recover four stolen vehicles.

Sgt. Lyman Moores with Clallam County Sheriff’s Office reports that he and deputies Mike Backes and Bill Cortani were at an unoccupied rollover for a 1994 GMC truck at the 3500 block Palo Alto Road.

At about 9:30 a.m., Charles H. Schulze, 45, and his girlfriend arrived on scene in a Toyota pickup with expired tabs, which deputies determined was reported stolen out of Grays Harbor.

Moores reports deputies then went to Schulze’s home on the 100 block of Jimmy Come Lately Road where several dismantled vehicles were discovered.

Sheriff deputies and detectives located and seized a total of four confirmed stolen vehicles at the property from Clallam, Jefferson, Kitsap and Grays Harbor counties, Moores reports.

Schulze and his landlord Billy Welch Jr., 46, were arrested for possessing stolen vehicles and booked into Clallam County Jail.

The case has been referred to the Clallam County Prosecutor’s Office for formal charges.
