On Saturday, July 6, the Port Angeles Farmers Market hosts its second Strawberry Shortcake Fundraiser featuring ripe, sweet, organic strawberries from Nash’s Organic Produce and The Family Farm. Handmade short cakes and real whipped cream will make these a special summer treat.

“Strawberries are a really popular summer fruit, and this year’s crop of Nash’s organic berries is extra sweet and delicious” says Market Manager Cynthia Warne.

“The bulk of the strawberry season is about to come to an end," says Warne, “so strawberry lovers should come on down and load up on berries and shortcake before they’re all gone.”

Strawberry shortcake will be served for the duration of the Market — 10 a.m.-2 p.m. — and sell for $5 per serving while supplies last.

All proceeds go to supporting market operations.
