Tree causes Sequim area power outage

Power went out for nearly 11,000 residents between Sequim and Port Angeles on Monday afternoon.

Clallam PUD reports that around 4:45 p.m. on Feb. 26, electricity went out due to a tree falling on a PUD power line west of Siebert Creek on Old Olympic Highway.

After 45 minutes, PUD officials report power was restored to most customers.

Two homes were without power as of 7 p.m. Monday. As of Tuesday morning, the Sequim/Port Angeles households had electricity restored, according to the Clallam PUD Outage Map.
