Marilyn Susan Andrus

February 27, 1930 – May 12, 2016

Marilyn Susan Andrus, better known to her many friends as, Mari, went peacefully to be with our Lord on Thursday, May 12, 2016.

Mari and her twin sister were born February 27, 1930, to Alexander and Elizabeth Ferris, in Cleveland, Ohio, where she and her twin joined three older brothers.

January 27, 1950, Mari married the love of her life, Tom C. Andrus. They were married 66 years.

In 1955 the two moved from Ohio to Burbank, California. Mari worked at NBC for 18 years, and retired to pursue her passion, doll and teddy bear collecting.

Mari and Tom were also avid motorcycle enthusiasts, and were very active members of the Los Angeles Chapter of the Vincent Owners Association.

In 1990, Mari and Tom moved to Sequim, WA, where they were both very active in the Sequim Valley Car Club. Mari joined, and again became a very active member in the Olympic Peninsula Doll Club. Mari dearly loved her friends, her dolls, decorating her home, and her puppy, Jessi.

Mari is survived by her husband, Tom, and her daughter and son-in-law, Robin and Joe Coelho, and her remaining brother, Dan Ferris, of Florida. But, she is also survived by the love of her dear friends.

Our family wishes to extend our heartfelt thank you to the many very special friends who have always been there for her.

Funeral services will be private. In remembrance, please consider donating to your favorite charity.
