Indoor soccer leagues planned
Officials are accepting registration forms for the annual Peninsula College indoor soccer league that starts in January.
The league features three divisions: one for competitive players, one for recreational players and a women-only division.
Games are five-on-five with two, 25-minute halves. Games are played Sunday afternoons (or Monday nights, if needed) at the Peninsula College gym, 1502 E. Lauridsen Blvd., Port Angeles, from Jan. 10-March 14.
Cost is $30 per player or $225 per team.
Applications and fees must be received by Dec. 30.

SkyRidge hosts Pre-Christmas tourney
SkyRidge Golf Course, 7015 Old Olympic Highway, Sequim, is home to the Pre-Christmas 27-Hole Tournament, set for Saturday, Dec. 12.
This is a two-person team event with three nine-hole formats. The first nine holes are best ball, the second nine are aggregate and the last nine are in scramble format.
The tourney begins with an 8:30 a.m. shotgun start, barring any frost delay.
Cost is $80 per team for 27 holes; the fee pays for lunch, range balls and competition money.
The tourney has spots for 28 two-person teams.

Youth basketball has
one more registration date
Entering its sixth season of play, Sequim Youth Basketball is open to boys and girls in grades one-six. Each player receives a team shirt, weekly practice sessions (depending on gym availability) and six or seven games.
Those who wish to register may do so at the one reminaing registration/evaluation session, set for 1-3 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 5, at the Sequim Middle School gym, 301 W. Hendrickson Road.
Coaches and league officials conduct a brief evaluation of each player to determine skill level in an effort to divide teams as evenly as possible.
Registration fees are $40 for players in grades three-six and $30 for players in grades one-two. A family maximum is set at $100 (families with financial needs may be eligible for reduced rates).
Coaches hope to have rosters established by Dec. 12.
Games are each Saturday morning starting at 9 a.m. Jan. 10. The season usually wraps up by the end of February.

Volleyball tournament set in P.A.
The first North Pole Coed Volleyball Tournament is slated for Sunday, Dec. 6, at Port Angeles High School, 304 E. Park Ave.
The tourney is for six-on-six, A- and B-level coed teams.
Cost is $120 per team. Prizes include T-shirts for team champs and other prizes for a six-person all-star team.
Proceeds help support the Port Angeles High School volleyball program.
Maximum number of teams in the tourney is 16.
