Hirschfeld gets ace

Leonard Hirschfeld of Sequim sank his third lifetime hole-in-one at The Cedars at Dungeness on Dec. 30.

Hirschfeld used a 6-iron to drive the 139-yard eleventh hole at The Cedars.

Super Bowl Scramble set at The Cedars

The Cedars at Dungeness golf course, 1965 Woodcock Road, hosts the Super Bowl Scramble on Saturday, Feb. 11.

The four-person scramble (with handicap and Callaway divisions) opens with an 8 a.m. registration and 9 a.m. shotgun start.

Cost is 480 per player with a $40 team honeypot (gross and net).

The fee pays for KPs, green fees, cart, two squares on a tourney betting board, food and beverages.

The tourney is open to amateurs with valid USGA handicap, non-handicap players and professionals. Only one professional is allowed per team and play at a zero handicap.
