Melissa Williams, Feiro Marine Life Center’s executive director, is the guest speaker at the Olympic Peninsula Paddlers Club’s next general membership meeting set for 7 p.m. on Wednesday, April 10, at the Solana Clubhouse, 135 Solana Parkway.

Presenting “The Future of Feiro Marine Life Center,” Williams will describe the center’s marine and watershed education and citizen science program and how the new building project, code-named “Marine Discovery Center,” will expand partnerships, research, and public aquarium exhibits on the Olympic Peninsula.

She will share the overall design of the building slated for the Port Angeles waterfront next to the Field Arts & Events Hall, including information regarding the expanded exhibits.

Williams came to Feiro in May 2014 after holding positions of progressive responsibility over seven years at the John G. Shedd Aquarium in Chicago, most recently as the Vice President of Learning.
