Even with a bit of a revamped lineup, the Wolves had no problem with their foes from the east.

Rylleigh Zbaraschuk went 3-for-4 with a triple, two doubles and five RBIs while Columbia Haupt got the win in her first start of the spring in a 12-0, five-inning drubbing of the North Kitsap Vikings.

Haupt went four innings, giving up five hits, walking one batter and striking out four. Melissa Lewis pitched a scoreless fifth.

At the plate, Sequim’s Cindy Miller was 2-for-3, Amariah Clift doubled, Michelle Abell had two RBIs and two runs scored and Maddy Zbaraschuk drove in a run.

North Kitsap catcher Lindsey Foster had two hits, including a triple to center in the fifth.

Sequim touched up North Kitsap starter Miranda Holt for eight runs on six hits and six walks in three innings.

Sequim coach Joel Lewis said she was happy to get reserves some playing time.

“We have a lot of depth, even when we have injuries,” she said.

The Wolves were slated to take on Klahowya on March 25 but the game was postponed because of weather.

Sequim also was scheduled to battle Olympic on March 28 and Port Townsend on March 29 — results of the contests were unavailable at press time.

Sequim is back in action April 4 at Kingston and host their rivals, the North Mason Bulldogs, on April 5.

The Wolves play a nonleague game in Buckley against White River on April 8.
