Rugby scrum returns to Sequim

In their second visit in as many years, the USA Women’s Rugby Team found a spot in Sequim to get in some practices before an annual tournament in Victoria, B.C.

The 12-member team practiced in Sequim in 2016 and returned for a series of workouts May 23-25 this year at the Albert Haller Playfields at Carrie Blake Community Park, Canada Sevens tournament.

“We enjoyed the experience and wanted to return,” USA head coach Richie Walker said.

New Zealand edged Canada for the Canada Sevens tournament title over the weekend, with the USA team taking sixth after going 3-3.
