Sequim man injured in collision

A Sequim man was injured and airlifted to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle after a two-vehicle crash about 16 miles south of Port Townsend on Dec. 28.

The Washington State Patrol reports Amelia R. Watkins, 83, of Port Ludlow, pulled onto US Highway 104 and crashed her 2014 Kia Cadenza into a 2014 Subaru Forester driven by Donald J. Hein, 76, of Sequim.

Watkins and a passenger in her car — Marta E. Baird, 66, of Port Ludlow — were uninjured.

The State Patrol said Watkins would be charged with failure to yield and negligent driving.
