Emil Richard Kashey
A service for Sequim resident Emil Richard Kashey will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 31, at St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church, 121 E. Maple St., Sequim.
Mr. Kashey died Aug. 20, 2009, at the age of 91.
Interment will be at San Luis Rey Mission in Oceanside, Calif.
He was born Aug. 20, 1918, in Pittsburgh, Penn., to Michael and Ksenia Kashey.
Mr. Kashey married Rose A. Smith in December 1945.
He retired from the United States Marine Corps and lived in North Carolina, Georgia, Washington and California. He moved to Sequim after retirement.
He was a member of Knights of Columbus and enjoyed golfing, hunting, crabbing and fishing.
He is survived by his wife, Rose Kashey of Sequim; children Richard Kashey of Oceanside, Calif.; Robert Kashey of
Lynnwood; and Patricia Kashey of Charlestown, Mass; son-in-law Kevin Staley, M.D.; and three grandchildren.
Memorial donations may be sent to St. Vincent de Paul or Volunteer Hospice of Clallam County.

June Corrine Rennebohm
At her request, there will be no service for Port Angeles resident June Corrine Rennebohm, who died Sept. 19, 2009, at the age of 88.
She was born June 27, 1921, to William H. and Constance Clinchard Rausch at Merrill and Ring’s Logging Camp in Pysht.
She attended schools in Pysht, Clallam Bay and Joyce and graduated from Roosevelt High School in Port Angeles.
She married Walter Paulis, who died while working for Sandberg Logging Company.
Later, she married Arthur Rennebohm.
The Rennebohms packed extensively in Olympic National Park with their burro Tommy.
After Mr. Rennebohm’s retirement from the Washington State Highway Department, they bought a motorhome and traveled throughout the United States, missing only one state.
They were deeply involved with the Jamestown S’Klallam Tribe and worked on the 100th anniversary of the Sequim Irrigation Festival.
After her husband’s death, Mrs. Rennebohm continued working with tribal elders and helped prepare their luncheons.
She is survived by stepdaughter Diana Carney of Port Angeles; sister Constance Dunlap of Port Angeles; sisters-in-law Gloria Olesen of Clallam Bay and Rose Hubbard of Port Angeles; two stepgrandchildren; five nephews; four nieces; and a cousin.
Besides her husbands, she was preceded in death by brother Frank Rausch; sisters Florence Zeller and Dorothy Wilson.
Drennan & Ford Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Sarah Elizabeth Halliburton
Blessed and forever loved Sarah Elizabeth Halliburton passed on into God’s loving arms August 18, 2009 in Sequim, Washington.
She will be deeply and forever missed and remembered by her husband of 21 years, James, her immediate family and the many friends she touched and enlightened in her career as a teacher, consultant, wife, mother and grandmother.
Those who survive her are her loving and endearing husband, daughters Ina Abandonado, Nyssa Everhart, Toby Ann Everhart, from Seattle Washington, and three children, Lea, Gavin and Willow. She is also survived by her loving stepchildren, Christy Hord, Becky Edwards, and David and Elizabeth Halliburton, and ten step-grandchildren. She will be missed and remembered as well by her brother Robert McGarrah and family, from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and many other relations.
Sarah was born Sarah Elizabeth McGarrah to Rev. Donald and Ruth McGarrah of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, on February 28, 1940.
She excelled in all high school events and activities. She was a beauty queen, had her own jazz band and played the piano and organ for many of the churches in the Pittsburgh area. She graduated from Westminster College, New Wilmington, Pennsylvania, and attended graduate school at Columbia University in
New York City.
She received her master’s degree from the University of California, Santa Barbara. She took employment as a Family Consultant for Social Services, and was employed by Coast Caregiver Resource Center in Santa Barbara for 16 years.
Sarah was also a Board Member of the UCSB Faculty Women’s Club; an English tutor at the Goleta Valley Girl’s Club; Goleta, California Conference Coordinator; and Mistress of Ceremony and member of the Editorial Committee of Meditation Mount.
