‘Shred Tour’ comes to skate park

What has been dubbed the largest inline skate event in the Pacific Northwest, The Northwest Shred Tour comes to the Olympic Peninsula later this month. About 15 pro skaters and several amateurs are scheduled to visit the Sequim Skate Park on June 23 as part of the tour, pro skater Randy Juarez says.

The tour hits Port Townsend and Sequim on June 23, then Port Angeles and Forks on June 24.

Sports physicals, car wash set

Get sports physicals and your car washed at the same event at a fundraiser set for 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday, June 10, at Trinity United Methodist Church, 100 S. Blake Ave.

The event, a fundraiser for the Sequim High School boys’ varsity soccer team, sees physicals are performed by local physicians Dr. Carl Weber and Dr. Kip Tulin.

Cost is $20 per physical, car wash by donation.

Everett-area duffer sinks ace in Sequim

Tim Cameron of Everett sank his fourth lifetime hole-in-one at the 155-yard hole No. 4 at The Cedars at Dungeness; Cameron used a 6-iron.

David Bobillot and Don Tapley of Mount Vernon and David Mannon of Burlington witnessed the feat.
