Coed volleyball league forming

The Port Angeles Parks & Recreation and City of Port Angeles hosts a coed recreational volleyball league.

Games are at Stevens Middle School in Port Angeles.

Cost is $550 per team. Registration deadline is Friday, Oct. 4.

Players without a team are placed on a “free agent” list.

Larry Scott run set for Oct. 19

The Run The Peninsula series continues with the Larry Scott Trail 5k/10k, set for 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 19, in Port Townsend.

The fourth of five races in the inaugural series, the race starts and finishes just off of Sims Way on the Larry Scott Trail along Port Townsend Bay.

Awards will be presented to the top three is each age group.

Cost is $35 for the 5k, $40 for the 10k. Save 10 percent when purchasing entry into this and the final race in the series: the Jamestown S’Klallam 5k/10k, set for 4:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 7 at the Jamestown Tribal Campus in Blyn.

All participants receive a short sleeve performance shirt.
