9/11 tribute comes to Sequim Tuesday

A section of an “I” beam from the World Trade Center is set for appearances at the Sequim Transit Center, 190 W. Cedar St., and across the peninsula before installation at Francis Street Park in Port Angeles.

The display runs from 9 a.m.-9:45 a.m. Tuesday, July 26, in Sequim, entering and exiting up and down Sequim Avenue and at the Sequim bypass.

From Sequim the exhibit stops in front of the Vern Burton Center, 321 E. Fifth St., Port Angeles, from 10:25 a.m.-11:10 a.m. before traveling to Clallam Bay for display at the Clallam Bay Spit Community Beach County Park at U.S. Highway 112 from 12:43 p.m.-1:13 p.m.

It continues to Neah Bay for display from 2:05 p.m.-2:35 p.m. at Washburn’s General Merchandise at 1450 Bayview Ave., then travels to Forks City Hall, 500 E. Division St., for display from 3:37 p.m.-4:07 p.m.

The exhibit returns to Port Angeles for display at Ruddell Auto Mall, 110 S. Golf Course Road, at 5:23 p.m.

Local law enforcement agencies, Patriot Guard Riders and others are scheduled to appear at the events.
