Planned Outage in Carlsborg

Tonight, May 4, between midnight and 6 a.m. about 2,400 customers in the Carlsborg area will be affected by an emergency outage to replace a transmission pole on Carlsborg Road.

Automated messages have been sent out to affected customers west of the Dungeness River, north to the Dungeness Spit recreation area and south to Lost Mountain Road and various areas in-between.

A car accident near the Carlsborg Post Office damaged a transmission pole that provides power to the Olympic Substation that local residents receive electricity.

The pole is presently being held up by equipment at the site and is in need of replacement that cannot wait more than a day without unacceptable risk.

Replacement of this pole requires an emergency outage scheduled to begin this evening at midnight and last until 6:00 A.M tomorrow morning, May 5.
