Helen Haller Elementary Schools students in Stephanie Grotzske’s

kindergarten class learn all about how to paint pumpkins from

Sequim-based artist Carrie Rodlend on Oct. 22. After teaching

fifth-graders how to draw and shade skeletons in the early morning,

Rodlend and Grotzke’s students learned about how to give pumpkins shape

with curved lines, to bring out light by adding yellow to their orange

paint, and how to mix and match colors to get the perfect shade of
