Success at Land Trust tree-planting party

Published 5:08 pm Wednesday, March 19, 2014

On March 19, the North Olympic Land Trust hosted a work party at the Siebert Creek Conservation Area between Port Angeles and Sequim. Volunteers helped to plant more than 400 native trees and shrubs in a previously disturbed area as part of a restoration project.

The restoration project, along with infrastructure development to accommodate public use of the property, is funded by the Sequim Community Foundation and Sound Community Bank.

Additional support for the restoration portion of the project comes from Merrill and Ring, the Clallam Conservation District and Lazy J Tree Farm. Watch for a public opening later this year.
