Symphony holiday concert

The Port Angeles Symphony’s annual holiday concert resembles a beautifully wrapped present under the tree.
Symphony members, acting as Santa Claus with a bag of musical treats, will play a mostly secret song list hopefully to surprise and amaze the audience.
However, organizers have let attendees know a sampling of the concert’s plan for Dec. 12.
Listeners can expect Christmas and holiday favorites including "Messiah: Pastoral Symphony" by Georg Frideric Handel, "The Seasons: December (Christmas)" by Tchaikovsky, "Carol of the Bells" by Mykola Leontovich and "Children’s Corner Suite: The Snow is Dancing" by Claude Debussy.
The holiday concert is at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 12, in the Port Angeles High School auditorium, 304 E. Park Ave. Tickets cost $10-25.
A morning dress rehearsal at 10 a.m. costs $5 for individuals and $10 for families.
Tickets are available at the door, BeeDazzled at The Buzz, 130 N. Sequim Ave., Sequim, or Port Book and News, 104 E. First St., Port Angeles.
