The Sequim Food Bank and volunteers from the Sunrise Rotary were busy on Dec. 19 unloading food from the Clallam Fire District 3’s flatbed pickup truck (above).
District members, Boy Scout Explorer Post 1003 and Santa Claus — collectively known as “Santa’s Toy & Food Fire Brigade” — spent the week of Dec. 10-13 traveling the roads of Sequim collecting food and toys from generous residents.
Together they gathered more than a ton of food and $320 for the Sequim Food Bank. (144 W. Alder St., 683-1205).
This is the fifth year that the Santa’s Fire Brigade traveled in an antique fire engine collecting the food, toys and monetary donations.
