Friends of Poor Walk slated for Sept. 28

The annual Friends of the Poor Walk takes place from noon-3 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 28, in Port Angeles.

Registration opens at 11:45 a.m. the day of the walk. This year, the route starts at the Hollywood entrance to the Olympic Discovery Trail at the city pier and goes east with a turnaround at the Francis Street Park area.

The walk raises funds for the St. Vincent de Paul Society to help those living in poverty in Port Angeles and Sequim. For more information, call 681-7258.
