Sequim resident Daniel Wollam remains in serious condition after sustaining injuries from a Thursday, Dec. 12, collision in Port Angeles.

Brian Smith, deputy Port Angeles police chief, said Wollam was driving north at 2:50 p.m. on Jones Street in a 1988 Honda Accord before he was hit by Justin Lee of Port Angeles in his 2000 Mitsubishi SUV, which was traveling east on Caroline Street.

Wollam was admitted to the Olympic Medical Center in Port Angeles and later taken to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle where he remains in serious condition in intensive care as of Tuesday afternoon.

Smith said Lee was not injured and was charged with failure to yield the right of way to Wollam because at the yield sign Lee legally should have yielded to his right. The collision is still under investigation by the Port Angeles Police Department.
