The Olympic RC Modelers and the Sequim RC Aeronauts recently handed over $1,575 to Volunteer Hospice of Clallam County from their fly-in held Sept. 14 at Sequim Valley Airport. Olympic RC Modelers president Bob Walter, left, and Sequim RC Aeronauts president Barry Johnson, right, presented the check on Dec. 13 to Ed Hopfner, Volunteer Hospice president, at the hospice’s office in Port Angeles. Funds came from participants at the fly-in for pilot fees, donations to collection jars and raffle tickets, and businesses and club members. The clubs are considering participating with the Olympic Peninsula Air Affaire in 2014 for their fly-in while still serving as a fundraiser for hospice. Submitted photo
