Sequim’s varsity fastpitch squad isn’t the only juggernaut on the Olympic Peninsula. In fact, they’ve got a juggernaut at their own school.
Sequim’s junior varsity squad improved to 7-1 Friday with a 15-0 win against Olympic, with the lone loss coming to Forks’ varsity team in the first game of the season.
Freshman Olivia Kirsch tossed a five-inning perfect game against Olympic, striking out five batters.
“We’re rolling pretty good,” Sequim JV coach John Qualls said.
“They’re a good group to complement to the varsity team. And we’re young; we have seven freshmen.”
