Quartet wins EDC golf tourney
The team of Kurt Anderson, Ken Chace, E. Michael McAleer and Fred Boynton took top honors at the Clallam Economic Development Council’s annual golf tournament on June 11 at The Cedars at Dungeness.
The winning team won with a team score of 62.
Placing second were Andrew Betzing, Mike Puckett, Dave St. Clair and Nick Sinaly with a team score of 65.
Third went to Karsten Boysen, Mel Moon, Kris Northcutt with a team score of 67.
David McCrorie made the Longest Drive on hole No. 14 and closest-to-pin on hole No. 11 went to Stephanie Sweet.
Stetter sinks ace
Walter Stetter of Sequim sank his first hole-in-one in 63 years of golfing at The Cedars at Dungeness on June 4.
Stetter used a 7-iron to drive the 134-yard hole No. 8 at The Cedars.
Pat Lauerman of Sequim and Mike Sutton of Port Angeles witnessed the feat.
Cedars’ women’s club seeks players
The Women’s Club at The Cedars at Dungeness golf course is open to all female golfers to participate in weekly and special events at the course.
The group plays on Tuesday mornings with tee times starting at 8:30 a.m. Weekly events run through October.
