Junior fastpitch squad wins state

On to regionals!

The combo Sequim/East Jefferson County/Port Townsend  juniors softball all-star squad earned a state championship Thursday in Vancouver, Wa., topping Queen Anne 8-4.

The juniors team went 4-0 at the state tourney, topping Sedro-Woolley, Queen Anne, Evergreen and Queen Anne again for the title. 

The team will compete in a regional tournament in Marana, Ariz., on Aug. 2.
