SkyRidge hosts scramble

The SkyRidge Golf Course’s Midwinter Open Three-Person Scramble is set for Saturday, Jan. 15, at the course, 7015 Old Olympic Highway.

Each team must have a total index of 15.0 or higher

P.C. starts indoor soccer league

Registration is open for the 2011 Peninsula College adult indoor soccer league.

The five-on-five league is from Jan. 9-March 13. Cost is $35 per player or $250 per

team. Applications and money must be received by Jan. 2.

The league is split into three divisions: gold (competitive), black (recreational) and women’s.

There are no rules on the number of men or women on a team.  Each team will get at least seven games with a tournament at the end of the season. Play is two, 25-minute halves.

File hunting reports by Jan. 10 for permit drawing

Hunters have a chance to win one of nine 2011 special hunting permits if they report this year’s hunting activities for black bear, deer, elk, or turkey to the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife by Jan. 10.

Those who meet the deadline are included in a drawing for five deer permits and four elk permits in various areas of the state. Permits are valid from Sept. 1-Dec. 31, 2011.
