Paul Rogers brings his “Holiday Hi-Jinx” show to Key City Playhouse this Sunday, Dec. 15. Along with musical guests, Rogers presents this special holiday performance in Port Townsend full of humor and holiday hum-alongs.
The event is part of the Cabaret Concert Series from Key City Public Theatre and George Rezendes/Toolshed SoundLab.
Rogers, a member of the renowned San Francisco Bay-Area Christmas Jug Band and longtime front man for Those Darn Accordions, shares his hilarious original tunes that put a new twist on the holiday season and will be the order of the evening.
“Santa Don’t Do It (Shave on Christmas Eve),” “Plant A Santa,” Rockin’ the Nativity Scene” and NPR’s 2002 Christmas song of the year, “Santa Lost A Ho” are just a few of the yuletide gems to be performed.
Rogers will be joined by an all-star cast of musicians comprised of Dirk Anderson on bass, Tom Svornich on drums, Jon Parry on fiddle and George Rezendes on guitar, plus special guest Carla Main. Christmas attire is optional, but encouraged for this festive evening of musical merriment.
Tickets for the 7:30 p.m. performance are $15 and can be purchased by calling 360-385-5278 or online at www.keycitypublictheatre.org.
