School District is accepting applications for board position

Following Sequim School District board director Sarah Bedinger’s announcement that she will resign her position effective June 16, the district announced staff will accept applications for individuals who wish fulfill the remainder of Bedinger’s term that expires in November 2015.

The remaining board of directors are required to appoint a replacement within 90 days. Applications will be accepted at the school district office, 503 N. Sequim Ave., from June 17-July 15, with interviews scheduled for July 21. The appointee should be ready to be seated on the board by late August.

Applicants must reside within the boundaries of District 1. To view a map of the district boundaries and to download an application, visit the district website at www.sequim.k12.wa.us.
