City seeks National Day of Service volunteers

The City of Sequim is making preparations to once again take part in the National Day of Service and Remembrance from 9 a.m.-noon Saturday, Sept. 6.

In conjunction with the United Way Day of Caring, members of the Sequim City Council and city staff will join together with community volunteers to participate in a morning of community service projects throughout the city.

The primary city project will be the planted parking strip along Blake Avenue running along Carrie Blake Park and the Water Reuse Demonstration Site.

Opening ceremonies will take place in the same area, on Blake Avenue between Carrie Blake Park and the Water Reuse Demonstration Site at 9 a.m.
