A 79-year-old Sequim motorcyclist has died, more than two weeks after a two-vehicle collision at the intersection of Hooker Road and U.S. Highway 101 in Carlsborg.
According to a Washington State Patrol report, Joseph L. Cvitkovich, 79, of Sequim, was riding a 2002 Yamaha motorcycle northbound on Hooker Road on Sept. 7 and failed to stop for a red light at the intersection with Highway 101. There he was struck by a 1997 Geo Tracker driven by Joy A. Newman, 37, also of Sequim.
Cvitkovich was airlifted to Harborview Medical Center after the wreck and died this week.
Newman was injured and treated at the scene.
