SHS’s Harris gets Rotary honor

Maeve Harris was honored Feb. 19 as Rotary Student of the Month for February by President Sara Maloney of the Rotary Club of Sequim. She was selected for the award by the faculty of Sequim High School where she serves as president of the Be the Change Club, sings in the SHS choir and plays on the girls soccer team. Harris has competed in the Washington State Science and Engineering Fair for four years with projects in renewable energy. Upon graduating, she plans to pursue a degree in environmental engineering at a four-year university.
