Easter sing-along set

Dungeness Community Church is sponsoring a Community Easter Sing-Along led by Steve Lopes from 2-3 p.m. Saturday, April 4, at Centennial Place, the northeast corner of Sequim Avenue and Washington Street. Come and enjoy singing or listening to your favorite songs celebrating Easter. Everyone is welcome.

Live music again at Oasis

The Oasis Bar & Grill, 301 E. Washington St. in Sequim, will be hosting The Whiskey Minstrels who will be playing all original music from 6-9 p.m. Saturday, April 4. This will be the first live music at The Oasis in several months. The Whiskey Minstrels are made up of Nolan Murray and Bruce Coughlin of Tillers Folly fame. Between the two, they have recorded more than 14 albums.

Full moon, full lunar eclipse ceremony

Olympic Unitarian Universalist Fellowship, 73 Howe Road, Agnew, invites the public to a ceremony and celebration of the full moon and a full lunar eclipse from 11 a.m.-

1 p.m. Saturday, April 4. The eclipse happens earlier at 5:05 a.m. The event will have polyphonic meditation followed by chanting, toning, drumming and dancing. There will be a potluck brunch. For more information, contact Sophia Engkvist at 460-7455 or songfire@olympus.net.

Family flicks at library

Weekend Family Flicks continue with a free screening of “Despicable Me 2” at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 4, at the Sequim Library, 630 N. Sequim Ave. “Charlie, The Lonesome Cougar” is the final film of this season’s Family Flicks and will be shown at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 2, at the library, with Robert Beebe of Olympic Game Farm in attendance to share stories.

It’s a bug’s life at museum

Sequim Museum & Arts presents “Birds, Bees & Bugs” from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Wednesday-Saturday April 1-25, at  175 W. Cedar St. It also will be open from 5-8 p.m. First Friday, April 3. The exhibit features a variety of local artists and rarely seen, unusual bugs from the Cowan Collection.

Toastmasters host storyteller

The Skwim Toastmasters club invites the public to an open house to hear featured guest speaker Cherie Trebon, a professional storyteller, from 7-9 p.m. Tuesday, April 7, at Sinclair Place, 680 W. Prairie St., Sequim. Trebon has been a professional storyteller since 1990. Admission is free but seating is limited. RSVP to 808-5780.

The DUCK Discussion has moved

Effective immediately, The DUCK Discussion will meet from 10-11:30 a.m. every Thursday at the Parkwood Community clubhouse, 261520 U.S. Highway 101. Hosted by local writer George Lindamood, the group is billed as “a shared exploration of the second half of life.” The discussion will help participants “find their duck” by focusing on lessons learned that can make one’s latter years qualitatively different and more satisfying.
