Driftwood club picks scholar

Olympic Driftwood Sculptors president Tuttie Peetz (center) and Joyce Volmut, scholarship chairman, present the group’s 2015 Scholarship Award to Port Townsend High School student, Duy (David) Nghiem, who will be pursuing an art degree at Peninsula College.

ODS meets monthly at the Sequim Prairie Grange on the first Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. The public is welcome to attend. ODS will present its “biggest show of the year” during the Lavender Festival Weekend, July 17-19 from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. at the Sequim Middle School cafeteria, 301 W. Hendrickson Road, Sequim.

The free admission show includes driftwood sculptures by member artists,  a driftwood boutique of handcrafted driftwood items and Demonstrations of works-in-progress throughout the show.
