Children’s book author to read at PA Library

Northwest author Lisa Mantchev will read from her new picture book, “Strictly No Elephants,” at 10:15 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 27, during Kindergarten Express story time at the Port Angeles Library, 2210 S. Peabody St.

“Strictly No Elephants,” illustrated by Taeeun Yoo, tells the story of a little boy who helps everyone understand that pets, like all friends, come in many shapes and sizes.

Mantchev is best known for her young-adult fantasy trilogy “Théâtre Illuminata,” beginning with the acclaimed “Eyes Like Stars.”

Kindergarten Express was created for children between the ages of 4-6 and designed to help prepare them for kindergarten. Weekly Kindergarten Express story times take place at the Port Angeles Library throughout the year and include fun stories, rhymes, music, science, math and art.
