PAHS orchestra plans fundraiser

The Port Angeles High School Orchestra will be presenting a fundraising event – “An Elegant Evening of Waltz … and More” from 7-10 p.m. Saturday, May 21, at the Port Angeles Masonic Temple, 622 S. Lincoln St.

This is a fundraising event to support the orchestra’s 2017 performance in New York City at Carnegie Hall.

Each student is responsible for earning their travel expenses. Members of the orchestra will be performing ballroom style music for dancing and listening enjoyment.

The first hour, waltz instruction will be provided by local dance instructors.

Also, several of the orchestra students will be performing a waltz dance demonstration. Elegant attire is encouraged.

Tickets are $20 in advance or $25 at the door and are available at Port Book and News in Port Angeles and Joyful Noise Music Center in Sequim, also online at Brownpapertickets.com.
