Cameron gets promotion to Corrections Sergeant

On June 15, Clallam County Sheriff Bill Benedict officially promoted Corrections Deputy Ross Cameron to the position of Corrections Sergeant.

Cameron began his career in the Corrections Section of the Sheriff’s Office in June 2006, and during his tenure has worked all of the regular assignments of a Corrections Deputy, as Medical Liaison Deputy for two years and is now serving a two-year assignment as the Jail Transport Deputy.

Cameron was awarded a Sheriff’s Commendation Award in 2013 and he also is the recipient of a Letter of Commendation in 2009.

He will be assigned as the Shift III Sergeant and assumed his new duties on June 17.

Cameron is a 2003 graduate of Port Angeles High School. He and his wife make their home in the Port Angeles area.
