Last call for art, photos for Soroptimist Garden Show Artwork Contest

Soroptimist International of Sequim is seeking artists and photographers who wish to have an original creation selected as the featured artwork for the 19th Annual Gala Garden Show which takes place in March 2017.

Each year an original work, donated by a local artist or photographer, is chosen to be the Garden Show logo. The logo is featured on marketing and publicity materials throughout the year. In addition, the contest winner will be offered a free vendor booth at the 2017 Garden Show.

Deadline for submission of applications is July 10.

Artwork criteria:

• Subject must be garden-related

• Art forms eligible:

Photography (Image should be approximately 800 KB with 100 dpi resolution, minimum)

Paintings & Drawings — all mediums (oil, watercolor, pencil, pen, acrylic, chalk)

Computer & Digital Art/Visual & Graphic Design

• Artwork must be no smaller than 8 by 10 inches and no larger than 17 by 24 inches before matting and/or framing

• Each artist/photographer can submit up to three entries
