New chief physician officer at OMC

Josh Jones, MD, will join Olympic Medical Center’s physician division as Chief Physician Officer starting in September.
Jones, a board-certified general and forensic psychiatrist, is a well-established physician in Clallam County, and comes to Olympic Medical Physicians after six years as medical director at Peninsula Behavioral Health.
Jones has familiarity and experience working directly with Olympic Medical Center in a variety of settings, including as an inpatient psychiatric consultant.
“I am very excited to be fully joining the OMC and OMP team, after having been an ancillary member for the past few years,” Jones said. “OMP is providing incredible care to our friends and neighbors in the community, and I look forward to helping support the physicians, advanced practice clinicians, nurses and staff in continuing this success and growing our reach in the future.”
He is also serves on the Port Angeles School Board.
Jones completed his fellowship in forensic psychiatry at the University of Rochester in New York, his residency in general psychiatry at Fletcher Allen Health Care at the University of Vermont and obtained his medical degree from the University of Washington.
As chief physician officer of Olympic Medical Physicians, he will oversee the employed physicians and other clinic providers, as well as the operations of the division. The chief physician officer is deeply involved in recruitment and retention of providers and the identification and development of new clinical services. He is a member of the Olympic Medical Center executive team.
