Dr. Carolyn DeSalvo presents a free WOW! Working on Wellness Forum titled “Food as Medicine: The Anti-Inflammatory Diet” at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 11, at Trinity United Methodist Church, 100 S. Blake Ave., Sequim.
DeSalvo will discuss what the anti-inflammatory diet is, why it works and what disease processes have evidence for prevention or treatment with such a diet. A physician with more than 25 years experience, DeSalvo is a graduate of the University of Kansas School of Medicine and has completed a residency in OB-GYN at the University of Texas. She recently completed a fellowship in Integrative Medicine led by Dr. Andrew Weil at the University of Arizona.
From 1:45-2:15 p.m., volunteer nurses from the clinic will be available to check the blood pressure of anyone who may be interested.
