Sara Nicholls, executive director for the Sequim Free Clinic, presents “How Do Health Based Non-Profits Improve A Community?” — a free WOW! Working on Wellness Radio Forum at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 9, on KSQM 91.5 FM.

Nicholls, who in her presentation will talk about the Clallam nonprofit’s available services, has more than 35 years of experience in both the nonprofit and healthcare fields. She has been with the Sequim Free Clinic for a little over four years.

In addition to working in several different medical specialty offices, Nicholls also worked with United Way of Kootenai County in Idaho and Transplant Recipients International Organization in Pittsburgh, Penn.

WOW! Working on Wellness is a health education program of Dungeness Valley Health & Wellness Clinic — Sequim’s free clinic. The clinic provides basic urgent care and chronic health care services to uninsured community members. Work is supported by more than 70 volunteers, including physicians, other professional health care providers and laypersons, as well as private and public donations from the Sequim community and beyond.

The Basic Urgent Care Clinic is open to patients on Monday and Thursday evenings beginning at 5 p.m. Individuals interested in supporting the clinic may call 360-582-0218.
