This year’s Impact Fashion Show has a familiar look to it, along with some familiar faces and talent.

Sequim’s Sica Schmitz moved her Los Angeles-based event to Dungeness for its fifth year promoting sustainable fashion. Participants can pay to watch the show and/or participate in multiple panels Sept. 4-6 at impactfashion.org.

Silas Crews of Story Crane Productions filmed the fashion show with multiple photographers at the New Dungeness Nursery Aug. 6.

Precautions for COVID-19 led Schmitz to move the event online with Crews editing the show prior to its Sept. 4 debut.

A mix of local and Seattle-area models, makeup artists, photographers and crew people helped prep the show, with models wearing as many as five different looks from more than two dozen designers of clothing and accessories centered on sustainable fashion.

Schmitz’s nonprofit focuses on multiple efforts such as promoting fair trade and wages, using animal-free materials and choosing innovative materials and sustainable practices.
