Golf group starts season
The Cedars at Dungeness Women’s Golf Association kicked off their 2021 season on March 2 at The Cedars at Dungeness, 1965 Woodcock Road.
Tee times start at 9 a.m. each Tuesday through March, and starting in April the group tees off at 8:30 a.m.
Check-in time is 45 minutes prior to the first tee time.
Group members say the organization is “a fun group of golfing women that love to play golf, have a good time and enjoy each other’s company.”

Vincent gets an ace
Darrel Vincent sank a hole-in-one — his second overall — at Peninsula Golf Club in Port Angeles on Feb. 18.
Vincent used a 3-wood to ace the 152-yard hole No. 4 at Peninsula.
Quint Bow, Kerry Perkins and John Pruss witnessed the feat.
SWGA club hosts kickoff
The Sunland Women’s Golf Association (SWGA) held its kickoff brunch on Thursday, March 4.
New member Katherine Evans was introduced and welcomed by the 36 members in attendance.
SWGA members celebrated being able to be together again while adhering to social distancing and COVID protocols.
Captain Ann Hester introduced her new board members and highlighted some of events to come this season.
The rules and handicap system for 2021 were reviewed and discussed and the SWGA 2021 booklet was handed out before players heade dout to the links for a brisk round of golf.
